Sony is set to roll out its new VAIO E14
series across the region.
The new 14-inch
notebook comes equipped with third generation Intel
Core i5 and i7 CPUs and an AMD Radeon HD 7670M
discrete GPU. Sony claims the notebook has a battery
life of up to 5.5 hours, which is enhanced by the
discreet GPU that automatically switches off when
tasks that aren't graphics intensive are being
performed.
The Sony VAIO E14 features a new ‘Rapid wake + Eco' energy-saving mode, where the notebook goes into a very low power deep sleep. This mode can keep your data safe for up to ten days, and once the laptop is opened, it can be up and running in a few seconds with all your files left the same way as when it was closed. The VAIO E14 is also equipped with a backlit keyboard for typing in unlit situations.
The PC's multi-gesture touchpad has a button-free
clickable surface, that gives enough space to
scroll, flick, pinch/zoom and pivot movements. The
‘Gesture Control' feature allows users to interact
with the computer via the webcam. Web pages, photo
galleries, slideshows and volume adjustment, can now
all be done with the flick of a hand.
